EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW...
Briar Dene will be open weekdays from 7.30am – 6.00pm all year round.
We understand that it is sometimes unavoidable to be late. Please let us know as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary concerns, and arrangements will be made to look after your child until you arrive. In the event that you are more than 15 minutes late, we will have to make an additional charge to cover staff costs.
Your child will benefit from various activities and learning exercises, including creative group play, numeracy and literacy activities, problem-solving and story time as well as opportunity to be imaginative and active to get the most out of their individuality.
Staff at Briar Dene are all qualified Early Years Practitioners to level 3 or above. All staff also have a 3-month Induction period and attend Paediatric First Aid training, Food & Hygiene courses and Safeguarding Children training. We always refresh our training and also ensure that any additional courses that will benefit our children are utilised by our staff.
We work to maintain daily contact with parents in both informal and formal settings. Our staff are always happy to talk about anything concerning your child. We also send out a regular newsletter informing you of our latest news and events, so your relationship with your child’s nursery is always a two-way one.
We are fully registered with Ofsted, with our previous ‘GOOD’ report stating: ‘Staff provide very stimulating environments for children, both indoors and outside. This highly motivates children and helps them to develop into keen and confident learners’
